Special chapter Jupiter : Bedtime Stories

Arriving on her home planet, seeing her mother, Shinta jumped in her mother's arms and kissed her cheek. But most of all, she was happy to spend some time with her father. On the planet of storms and lightnings, it was the perfect place to spend time with her father, the one who controls the stars.
- Dad, maybe we should go to the thunder dome. We haven't been there since I was 10 years old.
- Are you sure, last time we went, your mother used me as a target practice.
- don't worry father, mother told me she had important stuff to take care at the palace, so she won't be coming with us.
- That's a relief... then Shinta giggled.

As time passed by, Shinta enjoyed most of her time with Nephlite. It felt like a lifetime ago that they hadn't spend time together. One given night, while Nephlite was putting his beloved daughter to bed, Shinta asked a very curious question.
- Papa, what made you fall in love with mother the first time?
- Well, that's a tricky one...?
- Why is that father?  
- Because it was two lifetimes ago.
- I don't get it.
- Let me explain...

*Flashback*

In a time before Beryl had brainwashed Endymion's generals, everything and everybody were at peace. No strict rule were braught up except for one. Interplanetary travels between the Earth and the Moon were forbidden. But the young prince did not follow this rule, for his love for the moon princess gave him wings to fly. But when his faithful friend Nephlite caught him, he explained {or weizeleded himself out of a scolding}, by telling him that the moon princess was surrounded by four beauty.

Nephlite decided to follow the prince to the moon to try to catch an eyeful of one of them. But since he did not know his surroundings, he got lost. Then got surprised.
- HALT! Who goes there?
- Nephlite, general of the Earth Prince Endymion.
- Turn around.

As he did, he saw a wild spark from the fierce spirit that stood before him. He fell in love with her right away. But he would have the shock of his life when he found out she didn't feel the same way.
- You are the most beautiful creature I have ever seen. What is your name?
- Beautiful, okay... But you pushed your luck with [creature] buster... Thunder Crash!
- What a woman.... as he fell unconscious to the floor.

When he regained consciousness, he found himself n a strange room. He saw the princess sitting in a chair by his bedside, sleeping peacefully. As he tried to reach for her hand, she awoke.
- You scared me, I could of killed you.
- You almost did... [I better watch out for what I say, she's a wild vixen]
- Why did you come here? Earthlings are forbidden on the Moon.
- My master told me of four magnificent woman that stood by Serenity's side. I wanted to know if it was true. And he was right, you are the most beautiful woman I ever laid eyes on.
- Thank you, sir.

Every night, Nephlite travelled secretly to the Moon to see lady Makoto. They would take walks on the edge on the limits of the great queen's kingdom. Every time that he would come, she would bake him sweet cakes and cookies to feed to him.

*End Flashback*

- And they lived happily ever after, right daddy? ... as Shinta smiles as he tucked her in
- Not exactly, but is another story for another night.

Nephlite and Shinta had many bedtime stories together. Many made her smiles while others made her cry. But she hung on every word her father would tell her. What child wouldn't want to know their family's history.
